Here are the specifications:

BACKGROUND
The Layout design was accomplished using RR Track version 4 for all track, switch and accessory layouts. Approximately 300 hours over a 4 month period went into the track, switch, accessory layout and wiring. 400 hours of Scenery construction was accomplished over another 3 months.

Operation Description This is a really fun, versatile layout that is super to operate. It has a variety of operational features designed to work with the accessories. Power comes from two Lionel 135 volt TrainMasters (bricks) with two Cab1 remote controls. Either remote control will work for either track. It has been operated with Control One for the outside Track and Control Two for the inside Track so two operators can run at the same time. Accessory power is a dual transformer set for 10 and 14 volts. Two additional Lionel 1033 accessory transformers are set at 10 and 12 volts for lights all over the layout. There are two (old fashion) Control Panels. One controls the track and switches with dual or single pole toggles as appropriate. Panel Two controls all lighting and accessories. (System can be converted to use the hand-held Cab 1 remotes to work with or replace both control panels.)
Basically, it is at two-track setup.

The Outside Track is pretty unique with two sidings (top & bottom). Each siding has its own power switch so you can deactivate any rolling stock sitting on the siding, Each siding will hold six to nine cars/engines. With some "engineering" care, you can run two sets of trains on the outside track at the same time. If you study the outside track, you will notice that you can run in either direction, reverse the direction. Or run in one direction and come back in the opposite direction. You can also have a train run around a circle hidden inside the mountain. The outside track and the inside track are interconnected so you can switch trains from either track in either direction.
The Inside Track is a basic oval for continues running. However, from the backside, you can enter four different "accessory sidings" to operate different functions. This adds a lot of "play" features
